AFCEAN of the Month – June 2009
Ms. Jan Bell, Chairperson, AFCEA San Diego Science Tools Awards
The AFCEAN of the Month for June 2009 is Ms. Jan Bell. For the past 6 years Jan has been the Chairperson for the Education Foundation’s Science Tools Awards program that provides up to $1,000 for the purchase of consumable materials to science teachers involved in teaching students from 5th through 12th grade.
Jan has distributed a total of $23,000 of Education Foundation funds to 25 science and math teachers throughout San Diego County. Because of Jan’s hard work and enterprise, students have received classroom materials that have directly improved the quality of their science programs. As she steps down from her position, we recognize Jan’s many contributions to the Education Foundation and thank her for her years of service.
Well done Jan, you will be missed.
