Education – San Diego Robotics Program

The Robotics program provides up to $1,000 to science teachers and mentors involved in teaching students from 5th through 12th grade or coaching a robotics team. The grants are intended for the purchase of materials for robotics programs. The awards are competitive and require approval of the school principal. Interested teachers and mentors need to apply by filling out the AFCEA Robotics Program Grant Application on the AFCEA San Diego web site, and attach a

short, detailed description of how the funds will be used. The following are important dates to remember: Grant requests should be made between November 15th through January 15th, Awards will be announced by February 1st, and Grants will be presented at the February AFCEA Meeting.

Pete has over 25 years experience in the commercial and defense computing industries and holds a BSEE from Purdue University.  He works for Intel Corporation as Director, US Navy and Marine Corps, assisting with enterprise and tactical computing programs.  Pete also enjoys participating in middle school career days, helping students understand education and career opportunities in engineering and defense.
