David Dickey volunteered to be the Co-Chair for the AFCEA San Diego Veteran’s Retraining Initiative (VRI) in order to help fellow service members make the transition from active military duty to the civilian workforce.

Before becoming a member of the civilian workforce in the Defense Industry, David had a successful career as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps. He began his career as an infantry officer and later became an intelligence officer and finished his career with over 11 years of military intelligence experience. David is a combat veteran that served two tours in Iraq. During his military service, David earned the Bronze Star and two Meritorious Service Medals and numerous other personal awards. David is also a Service Disabled Veteran.

David received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of Rhode Island in 1990 and received a Masters of Arts Degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the United States Naval War College in 2004. He is an expert in the intelligence, technology and security fields. Prior to becoming President of Alpha Ten Technologies, Inc., he co-founded and was the President of Patriot International, LLC. David is the current President of the CA DVBE Alliance San Diego/Southern California Chapter.
