Technology Needed in Schools
Through the Technology Needed in Schools (TNS) program, the Chapter provides modern computer and network capability to schools in the San Diego region struggling to bring information technology to students. The TNS program sends Chapter volunteers to local schools to install and upgrade information technology in the schools’ classrooms and computer labs. Working with refurbished computers from TNS partners such as the San Diego Futures Foundation, the Chapter provides the critical link in bringing donated machines to an operational status at the school site. We work with local school districts to identify the school with technology needs and our volunteers install the computers and the software required to meet these needs.
