Our December 6th, 2007 “News You Can
Use” event held at General Dynamics
Information Technology was a great
success!!
Over 30 small businesses attended and
the benefits were well beyond
expectation! Gevity HR Services and
Littler Mendleson Legal Services
presented a very comprehensive program
revealing the many aspects and
responsibilities of Human Resources.
Small Business Owners obtained many
valuable facts and updated information
on the State and Federal Laws and
Legislation affecting employers based on
employee count and other factors. From
fair labor laws and insurance benefits
to EEO reporting and Safety Regulations,
important facts were shared on how to
avoid problems and potential lawsuits
that could adversely effect and/or
destroy businesses. This half-day,
interactive, fact-filled event was fun
and informative and the networking was
good too!
